Old-Time Charm in a Waterfront Village

If you are looking for a secluded small-town atmosphere for your destination, look no further than the Village of Northport: a charming town on the North Shore of Suffolk County that borders a deep-water harbor where you can moor or dock your boat and take in all of the sights and sounds of the village.

On Main Street, shops, restaurants, antique stores, and the John W. Engeman Theater fill early 20th-century commercial buildings along lively sidewalks and a street lined with vintage trolley tracks from the 1870s. At any time of year, there is something to experience in Northport.

In the spring, there are a variety of St. Patrick’s Day activities, a town Easter egg hunt, art festivals, and an annual Memorial Day parade.

During the summer, grab a blanket and enjoy the Summerfest Concerts at the bandstand at the heart of the harbor-front park, the Northport Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, Family Fun Nights on select evenings, the Blessing of the Fleet & Maritime Day, and fireworks on the 4th of July to name a few.

Fall brings about Northport’s own special holiday: Cow Harbor Day: the celebration of Northport with a daylong festival that always follows the popular Cow Harbor 10K, celebrating it's 47th year on the third Sunday in September, which will host the USATF Road Championship for the second year in a row.

Wintertime also brings plenty of attractions to town, like the Holiday House Tours, Winterfest, the annual Leg Lamp Lighting, and a holiday parade that brings the entire village together, as the holiday season officially kicks off with Santa Claus.

Northport is a great town for kids, too - it has shops that appeal to children of all ages, and best of all, the village has a waterfront park where kids can play frisbee, basketball, and enjoy the playground.

The Northport Hotel looks forward to welcoming you to our village and helping you plan an unforgettable experience.
